FAQ #3a. What are your favorite books?
Like most writers, I'm a voracious reader and I therefore have a lot of favorite books. Off the top of my head, some of my favorite books are:

"To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
"Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt
James T. Farrell's "Studs Lonigan" trilogy
J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series
"As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner
"Being There" by Jerzy Kosinski
"The Witching Hour" by Anne Rice
"Charlie Parker Played BeBop" written and illustrated by Chris Raschka
"Snow Falling On Cedars" by David Guterson
"The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster
Caleb Carr's "The Alienist"
Stephen King's "Misery"
and most everything by Studs Terkel, Scott Turow, O. Henry, and Anton Chekhov.I also greatly enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies. Some of my favorites have been on B.B. King, Abraham Lincoln, Muddy Waters, Louis Armstrong, Dr. Seuss, and Elvis Presley.
